The Odyssey Toolkit, including the Odyssey Heuristics  are provided as an open-access framework for the advancement of immersive design and human-centric technology. My goal is for these heuristics to serve as a universal "gold standard" for evaluating immersive experiences.

Unless otherwise noted, the textual definitions and structural logic of the Odyssey Heuristics are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).

• Non-Commercial (NC): You may not use these materials for commercial purposes (e.g., selling the heuristics as a standalone product or charging for "Odyssey" branded training) without an express licensing agreement.

• No Derivatives (ND): If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you may not distribute the modified material as the "Odyssey Heuristics" without written consent.

To maintain the integrity of the framework, all public applications (research papers, articles, or public case studies) must adhere to the following:

• Visual Integrity: Any diagrams of the Integration Map or Odessa (state) vs. Odessa (sanctuary) must remain unedited and include the original watermark/copyright notice.

Commercial & Professional Licensing

While the knowledge is free, the authority is reserved.

• Independent Audits: Individual designers are encouraged to use the heuristics for internal project improvement at no cost.

• Consultancy & Agencies: Agencies wishing to offer "Odyssey Heuristic Audits" or "Dimensionality Reports" as a paid service to third-party clients must apply for a Professional Practitioner License.
